성비오10세회, 에콰도르 퀴토의 성모를 방문하다.

미국의 성비오10세회(SSPX) 제 3회원 단체의 사제인 아담 퍼디 신부(Fr.Adam Purdy)는 2019년 1월 24일 에콰도르에서 키토의 성모님을 찬미하기 위해 200명 이상의 신자를 데려왔다.

에콰도르 퀴토의 Purificación Buen Suceso의 성모님을 방문하는 SSPX 순례 여행은 새벽 5시에 아우구스 전교교회까지, 그리고서 영보고지 수녀회 교회까지 가는 새벽 촛불행렬을 위해 200명의 순례자들이 성전에 모였다. 

영보고지 수녀회 교회에서 Gerald Fallarcuna 신부는 스페인어로 순례자들에게 다음과 같이 말했다:

"올해는 낙태를 승인하려는 이 대단한 가톨릭 국가인 에콰도르 정부에 대해서 우리에게 있어서 전교로서는 특별한 해입니다. 수녀님들, 순례자들 여러분 모두에게 있어서 우리의 첫 번째 의도는 우리 자신의 의도와 성화뿐만 아니라, 정부가 가톨릭 전통을 유지하고, 낙태를 승인하지 않기 위해서입니다."

그 후, 순례자들은 교회로 돌아왔는데, 그곳 많은 제대에서 여러 평범한 사람들 및 대주교(Fausto Travez, O.F.M.)의 은총이 가득한 허락을 받아서 미사를 봉헌하였다.

늦은 아침 순례자들은 네 개의 소그룹으로 조직되어 도시의 오래된 지역에 있는 많은 교회와 박물관을 방문하기 시작했다. 그 중 하나는 대주교의 대성당이었다. 이곳은 프리메이슨 명령에 의한 암살이 있기 전 10년 넘게 나라를 통치한 보수적인 가톨릭 신자인 가브리엘 가르시아 모레노(Gabriel Garcia Moreno, 1821-1875)의 무덤뿐만 아니라 아름다운 성소(聖所)가 있는 곳이었다.

퀴토의 좋은 성공의 성모, 또는 키토의 정결의 좋은 소식은 17세기 초에 일어났던 성모 마리아 발현장소이고, 교회에 의해 인정받은 곳이다. 성모 마리아는 성상을 만들라고 요구했고, 순례자들은 오늘날에도 이 성상을 계속 기린다.

이 발현이 있는 동안 성모님께서는 (20세기에) 사회와 교회에서 끔찍한 위기를 예언하셨으며, 이 끔찍한 시기에 "한 고위 성직자(르페브르 대주교를 지칭하는 듯)가 봉헌된 사제들 및 신자들의 영혼들의 미온함에 경각심을 주려고 보내질 것이다.“ 라 하셨다.

The Society of Saint Pius X Visits Our Lady in Quito, Ecuador

Fr. Adam Purdy, chaplain of the Third Order of the SSPX in the United States, brought over 200 faithful to venerate Our Lady of Quito in Ecuador on January 24, 2019, for a pilgrimage rich in graces.

The SSPX pilgrimage to visit Our Lady of Buen Suceso of the Purificación in Quito, Ecuador began with 200 pilgrims gathering in the shrine for a 5:00 am pre-dawn candlelight procession to the church of the Augustinian Missionaries and then to the church of the Sisters of the Annunciation.

In the latter church Fr. Gerald Fallarcuna addressed the pilgrims in Spanish, saying,

“This year is special as a mission for us to the Ecuadorian government, which is considering approving abortion in this very Catholic country. To all of you the nuns and the pilgrims, our first intention is for our own intention and for our sanctification, but also so that the government would stay with its Catholic traditions and not approve abortion.”

Afterwards, the pilgrims returned to the shrine, where several Masses were offered on the many altars with the gracious permission of the local ordinary, Archbishop Fausto Travez, O.F.M.

Later in the morning the pilgrims organized into four smaller groups and began their visits to the many churches and museums in the old part of the city. One of the stops was the Archbishop’s Cathedral, home to a beautiful sanctuary as well as the tomb of President Gabriel Garcia Moreno (1821-1875), the conservative Catholic who governed the country for a total of more than 10 years before his assassination at the order of the Freemasons.

Our Lady of Good Success or of the Good News of the Purification in Quito is the site of Marian apparitions that occurred in the early 17th century and have been recognized by the Church; the Virgin Mary asked for a statue to be made and pilgrims continue to venerate this statue to this day.

During one of these apparitions, Our Lady predicted a terrible crisis in society and in the Church, saying that during these times, “a prelate would be sent to counterbalance the lukewarmness of consecrated priestly and religious souls.”
