Q Can a Protestant be a Christian?
A "Reduplicatively" (= as such), a Protestant who protests against the Catholic Faith is not a true Christian, precisely because he rejects the Faith transmitted from the Apostles in the Church Christ has founded. But there are quite a few people - especially in countries away from Europe (where it is more evident that the Ancient Faith is the Catholic Faith: the stones are there to witness it!) but it is also true of children born in protestant families - so there are quite a few people who first hear of Christ from Protestants, and are drawn to Christ WITHOUT "protesting" against the Catholic Faith: it is for them more ignorance than rejection. They still have to convert, to embrace the true faith, but they are much better disposed, and the beginning of trust in Christ and love for Christ in them are effects of "actual graces" that lead them to the TRUE Faith and true Church, the Catholic Church.
