신앙에 대해 타인을 납득시키기

질문  “그대가 무슨 말을 한다 하더러도, 심지어 당신 옆에 천신이 있다하더라도, 그가 진리를 받아드릴 자세가 없는 한, 그는 당신의 이성에 결코 귀를 기울이지 않을 것이다.“

답변 그 말은 사실입니다. 천주님의 은총이 필요하고, 그리고 여러분은 기도와 보속과 그리고 특히 천주님의 계명에 따라 충직하게 살아감으로써 그 은총을 얻을 수 있습니다. 만약 사람이 은총 지위에 없다면, 타인을 위한 회개의 은총을 얻기는 매우 어렵습니다. 초창기 시절의 치명자들을 보세요. 그분들은 천주께 매우 충직하였고, - 죽음에 처했을지라도 - 이교도 세상의 회두를 얻었습니다.

오늘날에는 우리 주 예수 그리스도께로 돌아오는 것이, 더 많은 열정으로 돌아오는 것이, 영혼들의 회두를 위해 많은 기도가 너무나 필요 합니다.

 
Convincing Others of the Faith
Q “Actually no matter what you say, even if an angel sits next to you, your friend will never listen to your reasons unless he is ready to accept truth.”

A “Now this is very true: there is need of the grace of God, and you can obtain that grace by prayer, penance and above all by living faithfully according to the Commandments of God. If one does not live in the state of grace, it becomes very difficult to obtain that grace of conversion for others. See the early martyrs: because they were faithful to God, they obtained – in spite of their being put to death – the conversion of the pagan world.

There is very much need today of a great return to our Lord Jesus Christ, return to greater fervour, much prayer for the conversion of souls.
