A: I have not read that book, and honestly I am not interested to read it.
The so-called “resistance” can only live by criticising us: this is the reason why they go on and on with their criticisms. They do not reflect on the fact that, at the beginning, the so-called “resistance” was prophesising that the Society of St. Pius X WILL sign an accord, and it never happened, and they have changed their attitude and now claim: “it HAS signed an accord”, which also is not true (and the Vatican themselves say so, and continue to consider us as without a canonical mission.)
They practically make dogmas of faith of their position, otherwise they would not have enough reason to refuse to come to the traditional Mass we offer on Sundays. We have a few here in NZ and this is practically their position. I spoke recently with one of them (on the occasion of the baptism in our chapel of his nephew). He tried to show that we were promoting heretical ideas, but was unable to find any such heresy, since I was refuting one of his argument after another. In the process, it was quite manifest that his reasoning presupposed that he held his opinion as a dogma of faith, thus justifying in his eyes why he was not coming to our Mass; when his opinion was proven false, he switched to another similar opinion, and so on: such switch is typical of Protestants. When one argues with them on one point of the Scriptures and they see they are losing that argument, they switch to another point, and so on… Practically it is the same attitude: private examination of the Scriptures/of the Faith. It is really sad to see, and they need much our prayers.
